Everyone loves the music of Broadway, and our youngest actors are no exception. Act, sing and dance in this musical theatre introductory class. A wide variety of exercises to instill the concepts of focus and discipline seasoned with a healthy dose of laughter and fun provide a winning atmosphere for learning.

This class provides a fabulous journey into the world of the Broadway musical. Utilizing a variety of acting games and activities, young performers will begin to understand the creative process and how to bring a song and a script to life. In this introductory level class young thespians will learn the basic elements of acting for the stage. The use of the body, voice, and mind to create believable characters and learning to interpret scripts will be the focus of this course.

Students will learn the importance of projection,articulation, and rhythm in

they will learn to layer emotion, and how to use creativity and imagination to

In this class you will be on the fast track to learning the basics of Tap Dancing; whether your goals are to ace an audition, improve your current skills, or enjoy a dance workout, this is the perfect place to start. WEDNESDAY BROADWAY DANCE BASICS I/II

“…a 5, 6, 7, 8…Broadway dance, usually performed in musicals, is popular around the world. It was not until the 20th Century that dancing and drama became truly integrated and “Broadway Dance” was recognized as a new style of jazz dancing. One of the ingredients to becoming a “triple threat” performer is to become comfortable in a wide variety of dance moves and styles. Class will cover the most common patterns, movements, and rhythms from Broadway’s Golden Age right up to the most recent rock oriented showstoppers.
